Twelfth Circle

More commonly referred to as the Circle, they are a group of hired hands which originally consisted of twelve members, hence the name. Since then, their numbers have grown as recruits were taken in and old members retired. They take on odd jobs that can range from rescuing a kitty from a feline eating tree to assassinations. Needless to say, a fair number of them are well versed in the ways of battle and the elite are formidable foes. They act almost as a brother/sisterhood and are deeply involved in each other's lives. Many have chosen the Circle as their families and homes, casting away their own for whatever reason. This makes them incredibly well coordinated and many if not all possess a strong sense of camaraderie.

Locale

The Circle's headquarters are located in Jormungand western precinct of the city, bordering between the slums and the Jormungand River. They are located right beside an alley of smithies, and, rumor has it, that they actually lurk behind the weapons manufacture and own a great deal of weaponry because of it. However, because the group is known to help out the less fortunate, especially in the less wealthy part of town, they are regarded quite highly and many of their misdemeanors are ignored.

Many of the jobs they take do come from the ghetto, but a fair number of wealthy well-informed clients from the northern and eastern precincts do come to ask for jobs.

Form and Function

The Circle can and usually do turn down a good number of jobs. Many of these refused jobs tend to be the garden variety, do my homework, give me some money, etc. As such, many of the jobs must be accepted by the head of the organization, and the acceptance of a client means their job will be fulfilled, regardless if a majority vote is disfavor. However, because the head of the group usually considers the whole of the organization in his/her decision, if a majority of the group is against taking a task, he/she usually will refuse it.
